Made for the GMTK 2020 Game Jam in 48 hours!
Fall semester 2020, a computer science student races to deliver their final project and unwittingly damages their usb along the way. Play as Bin, a computer executable on a mission to deliver the data in this 3D platformer. Run, Jump, and build your way to complete each level. Each time you build a code block, the data world becomes more corrupt, the blocks you spawn display strange behaviors, and the world may soon become aware of your presence.
W = forward
A = left
D = right
S = back
Space = jump

Great Graphics
Thank you! I worked for quite a while on trying to get it look right and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Super cool, really felt like I was in some sort of computer system. Hard to use q and jump. Impressive for a jam game .
Thank you for that, I really appreciate it. The game jam was a bit daunting as a first time solo developer but I'm glad that what I made was appealing. I have a lot of cool ideas for ways to build upon the character being inside of a computer system and I hope you one day check them out in an update. Thanks again.
This game looks and feels whack XD. But i love it, especially the binary block. Tried to build a house lmao
I also tried to build a house, somehow ended up with a game though haha. Thanks for the feedback, hopefully you find it more appealing should you play an update version sometime in the future.
kind of hard to tell when I'm colliding with the red blocks, i died a few times when i thought i had cleared them. Overall its a pretty cool build- your-own platformer though!
Fair feedback. My mistake was scaling up the base small red blocks with a decently sized collision box without then scaling down their resulting collision boxes. It was a mistake that could have been fixed with some more playtesting. I'm glad you liked the concept and I hope I can make a new version for you and others to try post game jam.
Spawning the code blocks felt a bit clunky, if I was on the ground while I did it they blocked my path and I couldn't seem to get on top of them, while in the air it was more like they just sort of appeared under me and I couldn't like, do anything else. Wound up just holding forward and spamming q and space to gain height.
Cool game though, solid entry.
Having them appear in front of you was intentional but having them block your path wasn't. I'm sorry it came across that way and it's definitely something I'll work on in the future. With regard to the spamming space and q, that's definitely something I should have play tested more. I appreciate the feedback.
Controls are a bit clunky but its a fun game and an interesting concept
Very fair. The controls are one of the first things I will tackle once the game jam is over. Thank you for the feedback and for trying my game.
